Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management’s Bruckman Chosen As “FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager”

David Bruckman, managing director of Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management, LP, was ranked as one of the top wealth managers in Westchester County in an independent survey of area high-net worth residents, Westchester Magazine subscribers and financial industry professionals. Bruckman, JD, MS, Tax, was selected as a “FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager ” for 2009 by Westchester Magazine, which commissioned a survey performed by Crescendo Business Services, an independent research firm. Recipients of the FIVE STAR rating were announcing in the August issue of Westchester Magazine. Less than seven percent of the wealth managers in the Westchester County area received the FIVE STAR rating. “It’s a great honor to be selected as a top wealth manager, especially considering how rigorous the review and rating process was,” said Bruckman, who has 20 years of experience offering sophisticated legal and wealth management services “such as in the areas of estate planning, financial planning, charitable planning, investment planning and life insuranc” to high net worth individuals, business and families. “Like the rest of my colleagues at Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management, we work closely with each of our clients to ensure the preservation and growth of their assets.” Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management, which is affiliated with the accounting firm of Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP, provides clients with investment advisory, insurance, financial planning and wealth preservation services. About the Independent Survey: In December, Crescendo surveyed, by mail and phone 32,000 high-net-worth residents in the Westchester area and subscribers of Westchester Magazine. An additional 3,750 surveys were sent to leaders of financial service industry companies. Importantly, the 2009 FIVE STAR: Wealth Managers do not pay a fee to be included in the research or the final list of FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Managers. On the surveys, recipients were asked to select only wealth managers whom they knew through personal experience, and to evaluate them based upon nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale-service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. Next, each wealth manager was reviewed for regulatory actions, civil judicial actions and customer complaints as reported by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and other regulatory agencies. Before finalizing the list, wealth managers were reviewed by a blue-ribbon panel. The blue-ribbon panel was comprised of knowledgeable individuals from within the financial services industry. Although panelist comments were incorporated into the final score, safeguards were built into the review process to reduce the ability of panel members to influence the composition of the final list on the basis of company affiliation.
